Light PaintingIn this project I took pictures in a dark room on a tripod using manual so that the picture could be more focused and so the camera wont be moving around as much. The app that I used was My light painting and used glow sticks. Some struggles I had was getting to come out and using color the whole time the picture is being taken. What I learned from light painting was that by using a flash it can show the person in two locations because the picture takes 4-6 seconds to take. Also the position of the glow sticks makes an interesting effect and would look cool when taking a picture of a rocket because as it goes to the sky it leaves a path of the rocket. Another think I learned is that when taking pictures of an object that glows it makes it brighter because its dark in the room. Another thing I could use light painting for is by taking pictures of fire works.

In this activity we has to change how fast or slow the picture is taken. If the picture has a slow shutter speed it has a blurry effect but if it takes a quick picture then the subjects of the picture will be clear rather than blurry. The picture will also be more focussed and clear. For this assignment we used tripods so that the camera could be better focused on the subject and when we changed the shutter speed we used theShutter speeds are both a technical and aesthetic choice a photographer needs to make before releasing the shutter. The shutter on your camera controls the duration of time the sensor is exposed to light. Capturing blur emotion in your photograph can emphasize movement an add dramma. A fast shutter speed is often utilized to freeze the movement of the subject. A slower shutter speed can be used to show motion and visualize movement. Shutter speeds are expressed as seconds or fraction of seconds. As a general rule to prevent unintentional camera shake you should avoid handholding your digital cameras as shutterspeed shower shan ½*focus length. Using a tripod can help eliminate camera shake when using the camera. The visual blur and suggestion of movement occurs because the subject is moving against a static background. Layering motion of different subjects moving different directions at different shutter speeds can set up interesting dynamics. Fast shutter speeds can make normal subjects appear to freeze in the air. When photographing people running relatively close to the camera a shutter speed of 1/100. The distance the subject is from the camera, the speed of the subject , and the focal length of the lens will affect whether the subject is sharp or blurred. Slower shutter combined with planning can help isolate the subject from its surroundings. A tripod with a long combined with a long exposure can capture fireworks. Water movement can emphasize with long exposures. First I placed down my the yellow paper. Then I put down the negative to do the design that i wanted to use. I then placed down the stencils and flower to put on an imprint. I then put the glass over the entire picture to magnify the suns heat. Then I placed my cyanotype in the sun for 5 minutes. It was in the sun for such a short amount of time because of the direct sunlight and the brightness of the sun as well as the lack of sun. After waiting for 5 minutes I bring the picture and place it on the table . When I brought it in I noticed that the picture was more yellow compared to the picture that I had taken before I went outside. Then I took everything of the picture and rinsed it in water. Then I rinsed it in water with hydrogen peroxide which brought out the blue in the picture.
